Job summary

United Holdings Power Corporation seeks an Operations Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of our hydroelectric plant. You will monitor plant equipment, perform routine inspections, assist with startup and shutdown activities, and maintain accurate operational records to help ensure continuous power generation.

You will work with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory standards are met, and you will perform basic maintenance tasks,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• COSH Training completed or in progress (safety focused).
• Experience with hydroelectric plant operation is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbines, generators, and control panels.
• Record hourly/daily operational parameters (flow, head, power).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, filters).
• Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of sensors and relays.
• Maintain safety procedures including PPE and LOTO.
