Job summary

Hydropure Tech Philippines Corporation is hiring a Plant Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and processes at our on-site facility. You will monitor, start/stop and adjust systems while maintaining production standards and safety compliance.

The role requires basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, strong observation and记录 keeping, and the ability to work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required or a technical/vocational qualification.
  • Experience in plant operations or similar industrial environments is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and process equipment.
  • Ability to read operating instructions, equipment manuals, gauges and diagrams.
  • Basic troubleshooting, good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Willing to learn and work collaboratively with supervisors and maintenance.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant equipment and process systems.

You will monitor plant conditions, perform routine equipment checks, maintain operating and production standards, respond to equipment or process abnormalities, and ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures and safety and environmental requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Plant Operations

  • Operate and monitor plant machinery, equipment, and process systems according to established procedures.
  • Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment as required by operating conditions and production schedules.
  • Monitor gauges, meters, control panels, alarms, and other instrumentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and promptly report leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, temperature changes, or other abnormalities.
  • Maintain accurate records of operating parameters, production output, equipment status, and incidents.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive-maintenance activities within the scope of the position.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems and take appropriate corrective action within authorized procedures.
  • Ensure that production activities meet established quality and performance requirements.
Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
  • Follow all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), permit-to-work requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the plant and assigned work areas.
  • Handle chemicals, fuels, raw materials, and other plant materials safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, equipment alarms, spills, fires, and other abnormal operating conditions.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, spills, and equipment hazards.
  • Follow environmental controls related to emissions, wastewater, waste disposal, and chemical handling.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and required training programs.
Coordination & Reporting
  • Communicate operational issues, shift handovers, and important plant conditions clearly to supervisors and incoming operators.
  • Assist in inspections, audits, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities when required.
  • Support maintenance and technical teams in identifying and addressing operational concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely operational and equipment records.
  • Perform other duties related to plant operations as assigned by management.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, Technical/Vocational qualification, or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in plant operations, manufacturing, utilities, power, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or other industrial operations is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process equipment
  • Ability to read and understand operating instructions, equipment manuals, gauges, and process diagrams
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify abnormal equipment or process conditions
  • Good communication, observation, and record-keeping skills
  • Physically capable of working in an industrial/plant environment
  • Willing and able to follow strict safety, environmental, and operational procedures
  • Responsible, attentive, dependable, and willing to learn
  • Able to work effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, engineers, and fellow operators
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), or similar industrial facilities
  • Technical/Vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Technology, Process Technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, tanks, filtration systems, chemical dosing systems, control panels, and other process equipment
  • Experience in equipment inspection, preventive maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting
