Job summary

Mindanao Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated plant operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation, monitoring and maintenance of complex plant systems.

You will synchronize generating units to the grid, dispatch load, monitor performance, and coordinate with the Plant Superintendent and customers. Strong technical skills and decisive actions are essential to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain plant systems including dam, turbine, generator, auxiliaries, sub-station and electrical controls.
• Synchronize generating units to the grid, adjust and dispatch load, monitor parameters, and coordinate with customers and Plant Superintendent.
• Record and report performance data, respond to abnormalities, and execute safe shutdown/start-up procedures as required.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks: inspections, troubleshooting, preventive/corrective repairs, lubrication, servicing, and calibration.
• Maintain housekeeping, uphold safety protocols, and support emergency response when necessary.

Job description

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of plant systems, including dam, turbine, generator, auxiliaries, sub-station, and electrical controls. Duties include synchronizing generating units to the grid, adjusting and dispatching load, monitoring system parameters, and coordinating with customers and the Plant Superintendent on plant operations. Ensures timely recording and reporting of performance data, responds to abnormalities, and executes safe shutdown/start-up procedures when required.

The role also covers mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks such as inspections, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective repairs, lubrication, servicing, and calibration of equipment and auxiliaries. Operators are expected to maintain good housekeeping, uphold safety protocols, and support emergency response when necessary.

This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make critical decisions to ensure plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
