Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Grid Manager for its Hedcor, Inc. unit to oversee generator assets on the grid, drive revenue, and optimize costs.

You will collaborate with the Operations & Maintenance teams to deliver reliable power, improve processes, and support community-impact initiatives in a purpose-driven environment. Candidates should have engineering credentials, hydropower or grid experience, and strong leadership with budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• Experience in hydropower or grid management is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and reduce operating costs.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage generation assets of the grid and coordinate with O&M teams.
• Maximize revenue from generation based on water availability and costs.
• Minimize generation losses and maintenance costs across the grid.
• Maintain high plant availability and reliability metrics.
• Oversee OPEX and CAPEX budgeting for short and long term periods.
• Develop improvement plans for hydropower systems and budgets.
• Organize grid work activities and optimize resource use.
• Control operation costs and promote cost-saving initiatives.
• Report hydro plant performance and budget variances to leadership.
• Support policy development, safety rules, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and motivate teams, foster teamwork, and resolve grievances.
• Improve communications between leaders and teams; drive yearly targets.
