Job summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer at AboitizPower leads maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of the grid’s electrical components and hydro facilities. You will work with O&M to deliver reliable performance and community impact in a purpose-driven environment.

You will oversee predictive and preventive maintenance, safety standards, and compliance while coordinating with operations during outages and shutdowns to optimize downtime and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer.
• At least two years of related experience in electrical facilities in an industrial setting; preferably in Hydro Power industry.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Electrical Maintenance Program to ensure efficient, reliable plant operation.
• Conducts Predictive and Preventive Maintenance activities, including inspections and testing of electrical systems.
• Oversees Condition Monitoring and performance tracking of electrical assets.
• Supervises plant electricians during inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Performs protection relay troubleshooting and testing during maintenance or outages.
• Supports maintenance and inspection of hydro facilities and civil structures.
• Monitors vegetation management for transmission lines to prevent faults.
• Ensures LOTO procedures are followed during maintenance and testing.
• Participates in RCA and implements corrective actions.
