Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Manila is seeking a Hydraulics Engineer to support design calculations, reports and documents under the guidance of senior engineers. You will contribute to hydraulic design across live projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet client specifications.

Based in our Manila office, you will develop working knowledge of international codes (IPC, UPC, NFPA, EN, ASHRAE) and progress toward MCIBSE, MIEE or chartered status with support from the firm.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering; working towards MCIBSE, MIEE or chartered status.
• 2-3 years of experience in hydraulics, public health or fire protection systems design.
• Knowledge of IPC/UPC/NFPA/EN codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Basic Revit and CAD knowledge; MS Office and IT-based calculation tools.
• Familiarity with FM Global and VdS is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop design calculations, reports and documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare markups for the CAD and Revit team to encode.
• Own small projects from early on to gain practical hydraulic design experience.
• Ensure project requirements and client specifications are met.
• Contribute hydraulic expertise within a multidisciplinary design team.
