Job summary

Eutelsat Group is seeking an enthusiastic User Terminals Operations Engineer to lead engineering, maintenance, delivery and performance of user terminals in the LEO network. You will work with world-class vendors, engineering teams, service managers and operations teams to contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives.

This role requires experience in Tier 3 operations, firmware releases, and hands-on training of new features.

Qualifications

• Experience with SatCom and RF technologies.
• Experience with IP networks (routing and switching).
• Working knowledge of Linux OS and Python programming.
• Understanding of regulatory and test standards related to land, maritime and aviation industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 Operations Engineer support for User Terminal Service and Operations troubleshooting and debugging.
• Perform firmware and software release planning and testing for UTs; deliver hands-on training of new features.
• Collaborate with Dev Eng and System Eng to improve UT performance.
• Investigate and reproduce reported issues with UT vendors’ engineers.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding standards and processes.
• Support installation and configuration of user terminals.
• On-site engagement with technical support from Distribution Partners.
• Support on-call rotation for high-priority escalations.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
