Job summary

Manulife Financial is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the PAIVC in Private Alternative Investment valuations and quarterly meetings. The role involves coordinating with North America teams and ensuring accurate valuation and impairment testing, with hybrid on-site collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA or CFA designation, possess 3+ years of related experience, and demonstrate strong Excel and Power BI skills. Manila-mid shift and on-site up to three times weekly are noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance required.
• CPA or CFA designation required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related business experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Advanced MS Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; proficiency with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the quarterly Private Equity scoping file and identify investments for valuation review and impairment testing.
• Prepare quarterly private equity impairment testing and coordinate with Front Office on recommendations.
• Generate the daily AC509 monitoring file for cash contributions, distributions, and return of capital.
• Coordinate and administer collection of valuation packages from Front Office.
• Perform first-level interim and full reviews of internally valued private equity investments and summarize results.
• Assist in compiling and reviewing materials for the quarterly PAIVC meeting.
• Coordinate and complete review of Real Estate appraisals to ensure market data usage and methodologies align with market practice.
• Coordinate and perform first level review for MIMPEC Fund valuations.
• Work with AIA and Pricing teams to ensure fair values are uploaded to SCD.
• Emphasize collaboration and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and new initiatives within the department.
