Job summary

Caldwell Communications is seeking a seasoned Hybrid Java Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services in a cloud-first environment. You will work with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Gradle, and PostgreSQL, delivering secure REST APIs and scalable solutions in AWS using Kubernetes (EKS).

Reporting to the Engineering team, you’ll collaborate across Product, QA, and DevOps in agile ceremonies, drive code quality with JUnit 5 and Mockito, and contribute to continuous

• Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Build and enhance secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop database-driven applications using PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS Cloud using Kubernetes (EKS).
• Develop automated unit tests with JUnit 5 and Mockito to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams across the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
