Job summary

Unison Group in Manila is seeking an experienced Java & Microservices Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs.

You will work with Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines, delivering secure, high-performance services across databases and external APIs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with frontend, architects, and QA, plus containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud familiarity.

Qualifications

• Proficient Java development with Java 8/11/17 or newer.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful services.
• Experience in API design, integration, and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Good knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
