AP ALUMINUM AND GLASS OPC, based in Metro Manila, is seeking an HVAC Service Engineer to bridge office engineering and on-site project execution. The role involves designing and coordinating HVAC systems, performing site surveys, and preparing cost estimates and BOQs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, with 1–3 years in HVAC or related fields. Proficiency in reading drawings and AutoCAD is preferred, and travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• RME preferred.
• PME designation is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of relevant HVAC, mechanical, construction, or cost-estimation experience.
• Skilled at reading mechanical, MEP, and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and cost estimation.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; other engineering software is a plus.
• Willing to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

About the role

The HVAC Service Engineer bridges office-based engineering and on-site project execution. This role suits a Mechanical Engineer comfortable with site inspections, technical assessments, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, project coordination, and field supervision. Key responsibilities

• Design, review, and coordinate HVAC, ventilation, and mechanical systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.

• Conduct site inspections and field surveys to obtain accurate measurements, assess existing site conditions, and identify potential technical concerns.

• Review and interpret mechanical, MEP, architectural, and other relevant technical drawings.

• Evaluate project requirements and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, cost estimates, and material requirements.

• Assist in determining manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources required for project execution.

• Develop practical engineering solutions to address site conditions, technical issues, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.

• Monitor project schedules, milestones, site activities, and other operational requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and work direction to HVAC technicians and field personnel.

• Prepare and maintain necessary technical reports, site documentation, and project records.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is preferred.

• Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) designation is an advantage.

• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in HVAC, mechanical engineering, construction, site engineering, quantity surveying, or cost estimation.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical, MEP, architectural, and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and project cost estimation.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of other engineering or HVAC-related software is an advantage.

• Willing to conduct regular site visits and travel to project locations as required.
