Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables Capiz is looking for a Human Resources Associate (Facilities Management).
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
The Human Resources Associate - Administrative Services and Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions and facilities management within the sugar milling plant, with a primary focus on promoting employee well-being. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of administrative offices, employee housing, and providing assistance to factory facility management needs. The incumbent will play a vital role in maintaining a conducive work environment that fosters employee satisfaction, health, and productivity, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and supporting the overall operational effectiveness of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Upkeep:
- Overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation of all administrative
- facilities, including administrative offices, employee housing and facilities and
- other common spaces.
- Managing repairs, renovations, and improvements for administrative
- buildings and infrastructure to ensure they meet industry standards and
- regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety
- hazards, and opportunities for optimization.
2. Utilities and Systems Management:
- Monitoring and managing utilities such as HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing,
- and waste disposal in administrative offices and employee facilities in
- coordination with Electrical and EHS Departments.
- Implementing energy-saving measures and sustainability initiatives to reduce
- environmental impact and operating costs.
- Ensuring the availability and reliability of essential utilities and systems to
- support the needs of employees.
3. Employee Housing Management:
- Allocating and managing employee housing units, including maintenance and
- repairs.
- Ensuring employee housing facilities meet health, safety, and comfort
- standards, including providing adequate amenities and utilities.
- Addressing housing-related concerns and inquiries from employees promptly and effectively to maintain a high level of satisfaction and well-being.
4. Security and Safety:
- Implementing security measures to safeguard administrative offices, employee housing, and common areas, including access control, surveillance systems, and security patrols.
- Developing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards and compliance issues.
5. Factory Facility Assistance:
- Provide support to the factory facility management team as needed, assisting in coordinating maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements for factory facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address facility[1]related issues that impact operational efficiency and employee well-being.
- Assist in implementing initiatives to enhance the overall facility management processes and optimize resource utilization within the sugar manufacturing plant.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing building maintenance, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting purposes.
- Collaborating with regulatory agencies, consultants, and internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related roles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction principles, and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and codes related to building management, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Proficiency in computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
