UPS is seeking a Hub Operations Manager to oversee daily hub and transit operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely shipment processing. You will supervise teams, deploy manpower, monitor productivity, and uphold UPS safety, security, and service standards.

The role requires coordinating with ramp, gateway, maintenance, security, and other teams; analyzing operational data; driving continuous improvement; and reporting KPIs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent preferred.
• Relevant experience in hub operations, logistics, freight, courier, or warehouse operations.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of shipment processing, sorting, scanning, routing, loading, and dispatch procedures.
• Understanding safety, security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data, prepare reports, and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily hub sorting, scanning, loading, unloading, and shipment transfers.
• Develop staffing plans and supervise Team Leaders, Assistant Supervisors and staff, monitor attendance and performance.
• Enforce UPS safety policies, standard operating procedures, security requirements, and proper package handling practices.
• Monitor shipment accuracy, scanning compliance, misloads, missed shipments, and operational exceptions; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs, package volume, packages per hour (PPH), service performance, and manpower utilization to meet targets.
• Coordinate with ramp, gateway, maintenance, security, and other teams to ensure smooth shipment movement and resolve issues.
• Identify training needs, coach employees, conduct performance evaluations, and develop improvement plans.
• Ensure equipment availability, proper asset utilization, housekeeping, and timely maintenance reporting.
• Prepare operational reports, conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and suggest process improvements to reduce costs.

Job Description

Your role is responsible for managing daily hub and transit operations to ensure safe, accurate, and timely shipment processing. The role oversees operational teams, manpower deployment, productivity, service quality, and compliance with UPS operating procedures, safety standards, and service commitments.

What You’ll Do

• Hub Operations Management: Oversee daily sorting, scanning, loading, unloading, and shipment transfers to ensure accurate processing and timely dispatch.
• Manpower and Team Management: Develop staffing plans, allocate manpower, supervise Team Leaders, Assistant Supervisors and operational employees, monitor attendance, and manage team performance.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce UPS safety policies, standard operating procedures, security requirements, and proper package handling practices.
• Service Quality: Monitor shipment accuracy, scanning compliance, misloads, missed shipments, and operational exceptions; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Productivity and Performance: Monitor KPIs, package volume, packages per hour (PPH), service performance, and manpower utilization to achieve operational targets.
• Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with ramp, gateway, maintenance, security, and other operational teams to ensure smooth shipment movement and resolve operational issues.
• Training and Employee Development: Identify training needs, coach employees, conduct performance evaluations, and develop improvement plans.
• Equipment and Facility Management: Ensure equipment availability, proper asset utilization, workplace housekeeping, and timely reporting of maintenance requirements.
• Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Prepare operational reports, conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Your Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent preferred.
