The Housekeeping Manager contributes to company’s success by planning, organizing, and overseeing the overall operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service quality, and guest satisfaction. The position ensures compliance with established guidelines and standards while delivering one-of-a-kind guest experiences. The role is also responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, and developing the Housekeeping team.
Strong knowledge and experience in housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services.
Proven experience in managing housekeeping personnel, processes, and daily operations.
Knowledge and practical experience in laundry operations and linen management.
Strong customer service skills, including handling guest requests and resolving complaints professionally.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Bachelor’s degree in any field from a reputable college or university.
At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel, resort, or related hospitality environment.
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, labor costs, and operational controls.
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
Ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes to maximize operational efficiency while ensuring established guest satisfaction standards are consistently met.
Ability to balance guest satisfaction with the company’s operational and financial objectives.
Excellent management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong knowledge and experience in inventory control, linen management, and labor cost control.
