Overview
A housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in residential or commercial properties. The role typically involves cleaning, organizing, and maintaining various areas within the facility to ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces; clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces; disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry as needed; change bed linens and make beds.
- Organization: Organize and tidy up rooms, closets, and storage areas; ensure supplies (e.g., toiletries, cleaning products) are stocked.
- Trash Disposal: Empty trash bins and take out the garbage.
- Specialized Cleaning: Clean appliances, furniture, and upholstery; perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned (e.g., carpets, ovens, or windows).
- Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages.
- Guest or Client Service: If applicable, interact politely and respectfully with clients or residents, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or related roles is preferred but not required.
