The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned areas, ensuring that all rooms and facilities meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role involves a combination of routine cleaning tasks, laundry duties, and ensuring that guests or residents have a pleasant and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Maintaining Rooms: Sweep, mop, dust, and polish all assigned rooms and areas. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, mirrors, toilets, and showers. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Laundry Duties: Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other items as necessary. Maintain clean storage of linens and supplies.
• Maintaining Public Areas: Clean common areas like hallways, lounges, and lobbies. Ensure all public spaces are tidy and presentable at all times.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and report low stock to the supervisor. Ensure that cleaning equipment is well-maintained and in working order.
• Customer Service: Respond to guest requests for extra items, such as towels or toiletries. Address any guest concerns or issues promptly, escalating to the supervisor if needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
