Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Head to oversee the hotel’s facilities, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations that uphold guest comfort and service standards.

You will supervise the Engineering and Maintenance team, plan preventive maintenance, coordinate with other departments, manage budgets and spares, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all hotel assets.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.
• Experience: hotel engineering, building maintenance, or facilities management; supervisory or managerial role preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering and Maintenance Department.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure proper operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water, pumps, generators, elevators, and other hotel equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and disruptions.
• Conduct regular inspections and address safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Lead, train, and monitor maintenance personnel to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with other departments for maintenance requests and room repairs.
• Monitor maintenance expenses, inventory, and procurement of spare parts and tools; recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations; coordinate with contractors for major repairs.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for facility improvement projects.
