Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Valid PME license.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering leadership.
• Strong knowledge of hotel building systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors.
• Hotel opening or major project experience is a plus.
• Licenses as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering team to maintain hotel facilities and guest areas to brand and safety standards.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare and manage engineering budgets, capex plans, and energy initiatives.
• Oversee third-party contractors and service providers for quality and cost efficiency.
• Respond to operational challenges and emergencies minimizing guest disruption.
• Develop, coach, and motivate the Engineering team to achieve hotel objectives.
• Collaborate with departments on operational excellence, sustainability, and property projects.
• Build relationships with government bodies, owners’ representatives, and partners as needed.
