Job summary

Marriott Hotel Manila seeks a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to lead day-to-day operations, maintenance and repair of all hotel technical systems. You will ensure uninterrupted heat, light, power, ventilation and water supply, coordinating with the Chief Engineer to execute maintenance programs and schedules.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, is a registered engineer, and brings at least 3 years of supervisory hotel maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in repair and maintenance in a Deluxe hotel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in his section for attendance at work and quality of job performance.
• Ensures the efficient, economical and sound operation of equipment under his jurisdiction, e.g. Boiler, Chiller, Emergency Generators, Fire Pumps, Kitchen, Refrigeration, HVAC/Laundry and auxiliaries.
• Reports defects to superiors and coordinates immediate rectification and repairs.
• Keeps daily event updates, especially on Banquets and Guestroom status, including VIPs.
• Coordinates daily with Housekeeping and Front Office for guest room readiness.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs, energy conservation and safety initiatives.
• Maintains logbooks and submits weekly and monthly reports on equipment status.
• Acts as Fire Fighting Team Leader in emergencies and coordinates with other supervisors for material and stock needs.
