Job summary

The Heritage Hotel Manila is seeking an Asst. Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and oversee maintenance across all hotel facilities. You will supervise engineering personnel, coordinate with other departments, and ensure safe, reliable operation of buildings and equipment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with at least 3 years hotel experience.
• Ability to supervise engineering personnel and delegate duties.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, equipment repair, and life safety.
• Experience managing outside contractors and evaluating proposals.
• Strong focus on preventive maintenance and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering personnel in the Engineering Department.
• Support all operating departments and maintain hotel facilities.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all equipment.
• Oversee building maintenance across all areas including F&B, guestrooms and public spaces.
• Establish and enforce planned guestroom servicing and routine inspections.
• Oversee utility and energy consumption; optimize usage across departments.
• Monitor alarm systems, firefighting equipment, and life-safety features.
• Manage outside contractors and evaluate consultant submissions for works.
• Maintain organized engineering stores and inventory control.
• Implement elevator emergency procedures and training.
