Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines seeks a proactive Chief Engineer to oversee hotel facilities and engineering operations. You will implement a preventive maintenance program, direct the Engineering team, and ensure the department meets operational needs safely and efficiently.

You will lead meetings, plan capital projects and budgets, procure equipment, and drive energy and resource conservation across the property. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel engineering management or operational leadership.
• Strong planning, budgeting and procurement coordination.
• Ability to lead cross-functional meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for hotel facilities.
• Plans, directs and coordinates Engineering department operations and workload allocation.
• Presides over engineering operational meetings to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Presides over R&M meetings with GM, Rooms Division, F&B, Purchasing and others.
• Undertakes feasibility studies, budgets, and capital project planning and approval.
• Conducts regular property inspections and prepares annual expense and capex budgets.
• Procures and maintains engineering equipment, catalogs, and manuals.
• Reviews stock items to optimize inventory and reduce dead stock.
• Appraises engineering staff performance and manages HR processes.
• Oversees safety and emergency management teams and energy conservation initiatives.
