Aro is seeking a warm, polished, and highly organized Host to join our opening team in Singapore. As the first and final point of contact for many guests, the Host plays a pivotal role in shaping the dining experience and representing Aro’s approach to thoughtful, genuine hospitality.
You will welcome guests at the door, manage arrivals and seating, and maintain accurate guest and reservation information through SevenRooms. Working closely with the management, service, culinary, and beverage teams, you will help ensure a smooth flow of service while anticipating guest needs and maintaining clear communication throughout the restaurant.

Create a polished and personalized first impression that reflects Aro’s hospitality standards.
Manage guest arrivals, departures, seating, and the overall flow of the dining room.
Maintain and update the SevenRooms reservations platform throughout each shift.
Accurately create, modify, confirm, and cancel reservations in accordance with restaurant policies.
Manage waitlists, seating assignments, table statuses, turn times, and reservation availability.
Maintain detailed and accurate guest profiles, including preferences, dietary requirements, allergies, special occasions, and relevant visit history.
Review upcoming reservations and prepare accurate guest notes and pre-service reports.
Communicate reservation details, VIP notes, special requests, and potential service concerns during pre-service briefings.
Coordinate closely with management and the service team to determine seating order and dining-room pacing.
Monitor table progress and adjust seating plans as needed to support a smooth and well-paced service.
Answer telephone calls, emails, and reservation enquiries with warmth, clarity, and professionalism.
Explain Aro’s dining experience, menus, policies, and reservation procedures accurately.
Assist guests with reservation changes, cancellations, special requests, and general enquiries.
Handle guest concerns and challenging interactions calmly and discreetly, involving management when appropriate.
Maintain an organized, clean, and guest-ready reception and entrance area.
Assist with greeting transportation, handling umbrellas or personal items, and coordinating guest departures when required.
Follow all privacy, data-protection, payment-handling, and workplace-safety procedures.
Participate actively in pre-service briefings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
Support fellow team members and contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and high-performing workplace.
Previous experience as a Host, Receptionist, Reservations Agent, or in a comparable guest-facing hospitality role.
Prior experience using SevenRooms is required.
Strong understanding of reservation management, table allocation, pacing, and guest-profile maintenance.
Experience in a refined-casual, fine-dining, luxury hotel, or similarly service-focused environment is preferred.
Excellent guest-relations and communication skills, both in person and over the telephone.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and discreet in a fast-paced environment.
Good written communication and administrative skills.
