Job summary

Mission Hospice and Home Care in Redwood City is seeking a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct patient care at the Hospice House. The role requires compassion and teamwork within an interdisciplinary hospice team.

The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00am–3:30pm. A California LVN license and a valid driver’s license are required; IV therapy certification is preferred. The organization emphasizes equal opportunity and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Founded in 1979, we are a local, independent nonprofit that has provided thousands of patients and their families with physical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout the journey from a life-threatening diagnosis through death and bereavement.

We are seeking an LVN who will be responsible for providing direct patient care to hospice patients at our Hospice House in Redwood City.

Schedule:

Part-time; Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday; 7:00am-3:30pm

Mission Hospice & Home Care follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

• Provides direct patient care under current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.

Education/Experience:

• Completion of a Licensed Vocational Nursing Education Program from an accredited school

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse certification from the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
• Valid California certification in Intravenous Therapy &Blood Withdrawal preferred
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

Pay Range:

$38.65 - $48.40 hourly
