Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loan files within delegated authority applying policy and guidelines
• Analyze income, employment, assets, liabilities and credit history
• Review loan applications and supporting disclosures for completeness
• Evaluate property and collateral documentation for risk
• Calculate qualifying income and debt ratios
• Identify documentation gaps and set underwriting conditions
• Render timely approval, suspension, or denial decisions
• Communicate decisions and rationale to loan officers and processors
• Maintain knowledge of policy updates and regulatory changes
