Qualifications

• Graduate core program in public health or preventive medicine completed.
• 12 months of epidemiology investigation experience with a health agency (local or federal) including 6 months at Epidemiology Investigator 3 level.
• 6 months of experience as Epidemiology Investigator 3, 65763.
• Alternative, equivalent evidence of the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage statewide HIV/AIDS surveillance and epidemiology activities, ensuring data quality and security.
• Evaluate and improve surveillance systems and epidemiologic methods; develop follow-up protocols and plan software updates.
• Ensure compliance with laws, federal standards, and grant requirements; co-develop section policies and procedures; supervise staff.
