Job summary

Ventra Health is seeking a Data Import Specialist to create system accounts by accurately entering patient and insurance data for billing. You will ensure documents are merged, linked, and verified to prevent denials and maintain data integrity.

The role requires 1–2 years in medical billing or revenue cycle, familiarity with EHRs, and strong attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, with opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
• Equivalent work experience in healthcare revenue cycle or billing may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, charge posting, or healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Hands‑on experience with batch processing, visit list management, and charge log review.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, electronic health records (EHR), and reporting tools (e.g., concurrency reports, cube data).
• Experience working with month‑end closing schedules and meeting strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data integrity standards.

Responsibilities

• Batch Prepping/Merging – make sure all documents are merged before creating the account.
• Document Indexing – link amended records to the respective account.
• Account Creation – enter patient and insurance information for billing.
• Quality Assurance – ensure accuracy to avoid denials and compliance issues.
