Job summary

Ventra Health is seeking a Data Import Specialist to create accounts in the system by accurately entering patient and insurance information to ensure timely, correct billing. You will merge patient documents, index records, and maintain data quality to prevent denials and compliance issues.

The role requires 1–2 years in medical billing or related healthcare revenue cycle work, familiarity with HIPAA standards, and experience with batch processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
• Equivalent work experience in healthcare revenue cycle or billing may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, charge posting, or healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Hands-on experience with batch processing, visit list management, and charge log review.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, electronic health records (EHR), and reporting tools (e.g., concurrency reports, cube data).
• Experience working with month-end closing schedules and meeting strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data integrity standards.

Responsibilities

• Batch Prepping/Merging—making sure all the patient documents are merged before creating the account.
• Document Indexing—linking amended records to the respective account.
• Account Creation—entering all necessary patient and insurance information for billing purposes.
• Quality Assurance—ensuring information is entered accurately to avoid denials and compliance issues.

Job Summary

Compensation

• Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

• This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
