SERVE DIAGNOSTICA in Manila is seeking an Application Specialist to provide expert application and technical support for our diagnostic products. You will develop product knowledge, support demonstrations, training, and equipment implementation at customer sites.
The role involves troubleshooting, QC, calibration, and collaboration with Sales, Service, and Management to meet customer needs, while traveling to client sites as required.
The Application Specialist is responsible for providing effective application and technical support for the company's diagnostic products by maintaining a high level of product knowledge, technical competency, application expertise, and professional capability through structured training, certification, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. The position serves as a technical and product resource for the Sales, Operations, Technical/Service, and Management teams. The role is responsible for developing expertise in assigned product lines, supporting product demonstrations and evaluations, conducting customer training, assisting with equipment implementation, validation, and performance testing, troubleshooting application-related concerns, and staying updated on developments and trends in laboratory diagnostics.
Develop and maintain strong product and application knowledge for assigned diagnostic product lines, including understanding product features, specifications, principles, methodologies, applications, limitations, and competitive advantages
Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and demonstrations for prospective and existing customers
Conduct customer and end‑user training on assigned products and prepare training materials and application guides
Support the implementation and application readiness of diagnostic equipment at customer sites, including assistance with installation, commissioning, calibration, verification, validation, and performance testing
Provide application support before, during, and after product implementation, including assisting customers with product operation, application procedures, QC, calibration, and routine troubleshooting
Investigate application-related concerns and determine appropriate corrective actions within the scope of competency
Comply with quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturer requirements, and maintain complete and accurate records and traceability of application activities
Coordinate with suppliers and principals on routine technical and application matters related to assigned product lines
Work closely with Sales in identifying and addressing customer technical requirements and provide technical input for proposals and presentations
Conduct research on assigned products, applications, laboratory practices, and diagnostic technologies, and stay informed of relevant industry developments and emerging technologies
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
Registered Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist
Relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or laboratory setting
Experience in laboratory diagnostics, IVD, medical devices, laboratory equipment, or related industries is preferred
Experience in product application, technical support, customer training, laboratory operations, or equipment evaluation is an advantage
Strong communication and presentation skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel for customer visits, demonstrations, trainings, evaluations, installations, and supplier/principal activities
Strong technical and application knowledge of laboratory diagnostic products
Good understanding of laboratory workflows, practices, and quality requirements
