Job summary

Lufthansa Services Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Health, Safety, and Wellness Officer to lead proactive safety initiatives, manage wellness programs, and provide administrative support across departments in the Metro Manila area.

The role focuses on risk assessments, policy implementation, incident investigations, training delivery, and data-driven safety improvements while coordinating with HR and finance for compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• BOSH Training certification.
• At least 3 years as a Safety Officer 3 or higher safety qualification.
• Proven experience as Health and Safety Officer in a similar role.
• Pollution Control Officer/Managing Head accreditation or experience (if expired).
• Knowledge of Philippine health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Develop, implement, and refine safety policies and procedures for compliance.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote safety culture and guidance.
• Investigate and report workplace accidents and incidents with preventive recommendations.
• Organize and deliver safety trainings and orientations for new employees.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements and standards.
• Provide expert assistance in crisis and emergency events.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
• Uphold compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Extend administrative support to various departments.
