Job summary

Boracay Island Water Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety professional to lead H&S governance across project sites. You will develop safety systems, oversee compliance with DOLE requirements, and promote a strong health and safety culture.

The role requires a BE/BS in Environmental/Health/Safety Engineering, 3–5 years’ related experience, and accreditation as a DOLE OSH Consultant or Practitioner, with deep knowledge of applicable legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Accredited DOLE OSH Consultant or Practitioner.
• Deep knowledge of legal requirements relating to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop Safe System of Work Manual applicable to project sites and facilities to establish health and safety culture across the business unit.
• Review and monitor implementation of H&S Plan of contractors to ensure DOLE compliance across project sites.
• Set up H&S Committee in the BU and act as secretariat to committee meetings for DOLE compliance.
• Conduct project site inspections to ensure compliance to H&S plans and identify risks to mitigate accidents.
• Review and participate in HAZOP/HAZCON studies to ensure safety in design and engineering measures.

Job description

Occupational Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards

• Develop Safe System of Work Manual applicable to project sites and facilities to establish practice of Health and Safety culture across the business unit.

Health and Safety Plan per project site

• Review and monitor implementation of H&S Plan of contractors to ensure compliance of all project sites to DOLE requirements.
• Designs, develops and implements employee and vendor safety program for the business unit and establish safety culture across the business.

Occupational Health and Safety Committee

• Set-up H&S Committee in the BU and act as secretariat to the regular committee meetings to comply with DOLE requirement.

Health and Safety Audit

• Conduct project site inspection to ensure compliance to H&S plan, identify project site risks to mitigate potential accident.

HAZOP/HAZCON

• Review and participate in project HAZOP and HAZCON studies and discussion to ensure compliance to applicable legal requirement and incorporate engineering measures in the design

Education/Experienced Required

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• Must have least 3-5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must be an accredited DOLE OSH Consultant or Practitioner
