Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Hardware Electronics Manager to lead the design, test, and integration of electronics for the Beauty appliance portfolio. You will mentor a team of Electronics Engineers and drive architecture decisions, from concept through mass production and product sustainment.

You will collaborate with Dyson Research in Singapore and the UK, and the New Product Innovation teams to study novel electronics, ensure regulatory compliance (IEC, UL, EMC), manage risk, and deliver on schedule

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics or related field.
• 8+ years technical leadership across product development from concept to mass production.
• Experience in power electronics, motor drive, battery management, analogue/digital, sensing, and hardware integration.
• Knowledge of IEC/UL standards and experience resolving safety, EMC/ESD issues.
• Proficiency with schematic capture, PCB layout, signal integrity, and thermal modelling.
• Experience with design calculations, tolerance analysis, and documentation.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM/DFX.
• Strong analytical, self-driven, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Beauty category electronics team; gather requirements, design circuits, and develop sensor systems.
• Ensure hardware deliverables meet specifications, schedule, and budget for PCBA and modules.
• Lead technical reviews and risk analyses; investigate and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory standards (IEC, UL, EMC) across regions.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Compliance, Software, Manufacturing, Test, and regional Dyson teams to drive development to production.
• Foster collaboration with ODM/JDM partners for reliable electronics solutions and timely delivery.
• Coach and mentor team members; discuss career progression and development targets.
• Communicate project status, risks, and priorities to cross-functional stakeholders.
