Job summary

GoRocky Pte. Ltd. is seeking a practical, mature Head of Finance to run a tight finance function across its group.

You’ll own the recurring finance cycle, sit as a signatory on all outgoing payments, and work closely with operations and technology to keep the numbers honest. This role is not a heroic CFO position; day-to-day accounting is managed by your team. You’ll structure the numbers, review work, and be the calm voice for founders and the board, with potential to become CFO as the business

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 6+ years post-qualification experience.
• Deep Philippine tax literacy with BIR filings and VAT/WHT knowledge.
• Cross-border experience including Singapore entity, USD invoicing, FX exposure.
• Willing to be co-signatory and uphold process discipline.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets modelling and data analysis.
• Comfort with AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT) for research and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Take one of three signatory seats on all outgoing payments alongside the co-founders.
• Own the monthly close review across the group entities — sign off on P&L, balance sheet, and reconciliations.
• Own the working budget and rolling forecast.
• Manage the relationship with our outsourced Philippine tax provider — monthly and quarterly BIR filings, Authority to Print, service invoices.
• Manage the relationship with our Singapore bookkeeper — unaudited financial statements and tax return.
• Sponsor the accounting systems (QuickBooks and Xero) as the source of truth.
• Work with the technology team on data reconciliation across CRM, order-management, and finance systems.
• Roll out the intercompany service-invoice framework at each month-end.
• Support the CEO on quarterly board reporting — supply the numbers and attend the bi-weekly board alignment.
• Manage and coach the finance team.

Job description

We're looking for a practical, mature Head of Finance to run a tight, efficient finance function across our group of operating entities. You'll own the recurring finance cycle, sit as one of three signatories on all outgoing payments, and work closely with our operations and technology teams to keep the numbers honest.

This isn't a heroic CFO role. Day-to-day accounting is executed by the finance team you'll manage. Your job is to structure the numbers, review and approve the work, hold the line on process, and be the calm, clear finance voice for the founders and the board. Title can move to CFO in future as the business scales.

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 6+ years post-qualification experience

• Deep Philippine tax literacy — BIR filings (0619E, 2550Q, 1601EQ), VAT, WHT, ATP, three-way invoicing

• Cross-border experience — comfortable with a Singapore entity, USD invoicing, FX exposure, working with a Singapore bookkeeper

• Comfortable as a co-signatory with founders — willing to hold the line on process

• Practical, mature, calm under pressure. Good communicator. Doesn't fluster easily.

• Strong Excel and Google Sheets modelling

• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work — basic hands-on experience with Claude and/or ChatGPT for research, drafting, spreadsheet formulas, and reconciliation tasks.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in regulated healthcare, pharma, or direct-to-consumer e-commerce

• Startup or scale-up experience (Series A or B)

• Familiarity with in-house ERP or order-management systems
