Job summary

TLC Technology is seeking a Head of Data Science & AI for a global fintech, based in Manila, Philippines. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers and AI specialists to turn ambitious AI ideas into reliable, production-grade products and measurable business impact.

Reporting to the CTO, you will own AI strategy, roadmaps and delivery across credit, fraud, risk, personalization and operations, and provide technical direction across ML, GenAI, MLOps, cloud and data

Qualifications

• Shipping AI/ML products into production at scale.
• Executive-level leadership with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience building and leading large AI or data-science teams.
• Strong track record of delivering measurable business results.
• Banking or fintech experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Define AI strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Lead production AI across risk, fraud, credit and personalization.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle from experimentation to deployment and monitoring.
• Provide technical direction across ML, GenAI, MLOps, cloud.
• Build a high-performing, commercially focused AI organization.

THE MISSION

Reporting to the CTO, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of around 20–30 data scientists, ML engineers and AI specialists.

You’ll turn ambitious AI ideas into reliable, production-grade products.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• AI strategy, roadmap and delivery.
• Production AI across credit, fraud, risk, personalisation, customer experience and operations.
• The full lifecycle, from experimentation through deployment, monitoring and measurable impact.
• Technical direction across ML, GenAI, MLOps, cloud and data platforms.
• A high-performing, commercially focused AI team.
• Strong partnerships across Technology, Product, Risk and Commercial.

You’ll also bring:

• A strong record of shipping AI/ML products into production at scale.
• Clear commercial, customer or operational results.
• Deep technical credibility combined with executive-level leadership.
• Experience building and leading substantial AI or data-science teams.
• A fast-moving, practical and hands-on leadership style.

Traditional banking experience is a strong advantage when combined with genuine fintech delivery.

LOCATION

Role is based in Manila, Philippines

International candidates will be considered if their fintech AI experience is exceptional and they are fully committed to relocating to Manila.
