Qualifications

• Minimum of two years previously in similar position.
• Apply customer service skills per pillars of Safety, Service and Style.
• High school or equivalent preferred.
• STCW95 and social responsibility training completed.
• Electrician’s STCW certification completed.
• Advanced Fire Fighting training completed.
• Previous ship's electrician experience on company vessels.
• Ability to read ship electrical drawings and prepare job orders.
• Ability to plan projects, set priorities, and work without supervision.
• Ability to supervise others; strong ethics and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical plant and related systems aboard.
• Be present in Engine Control Room during maneuvers, drills, and emergencies.
• Update maintenance work in the Planned Maintenance System.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with department budget proposals and expenditures.
• Lead and coordinate repair and maintenance with safety measures.
• Ensure at least two electricians on high voltage work; designate Safety Electrician.
• Train Electricians and Assistants in safety procedures.
• Member of Shipboard Maintenance Team.
• Maintain daily work reports and documentation.
• Oversee navigation and entertainment systems, UPS, and fire detection systems.
