Job summary

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is seeking an Electrical Engineer with seagoing experience for our modern container vessels. The role includes training and opportunities to expand technical knowledge onboard, with emphasis on safety and professional development.

The position requires supervising electrical maintenance, reefers, and timely reporting to senior officers, while adhering to work/rest hour regulations and voyage duties.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months seatime in rank on board ships.
• Minimum 250 reefer container experience.
• Willing to be trained and expand onboard knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical maintenance and repair by shore personnel with emphasis on safety.
• Check, maintain and repair electrical/electronic plant and machinery as directed by senior officers.
• Report all electrical checks and ree maintenance related tasks to the Chief Engineer.
• Report during loading/unloading reefers to the Chief Officer and Master.
• Ensure work/rest hour planning complies with regulations and raise challenges to officers.
