Job description

The Head Cashierwill be responsible in training of staff, assigning tasks, collecting cash, and reconcilingcashwith receipts. Additionally, the position will be responsible in the oversight of overall canteen operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES

• Observe personal hygiene, sanitation, wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), practice food safety standard and company rules.

• Ensure all stations have adequate cash and change at all times.

• Supervise all cashiers, provide training to them, monitor and give assistance in dealing with operational issues.

• Train newly hired cashier/s on how to operate the POS which includes:

• Ensure that a sufficient change fund is available

• Reading of the POS every after shift.

• Counting of cash against the reading of POS.

• Have excellent customer service skill.

• Maintain a list of board meals and food charge monitoring.

• Deposit cash sales to bank.

• Check physically the store’s front-end activities where other cashiers are working, those working behind the register, including monitoring of entrance/exit doors to prevent loss of any resources.

• Record order slip and prepare billing statement or statement of account).

• Reconcile POS transactions, charges, sales and expenses.
