Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 3+ years of software testing experience in Web, Android, or iOS including embedded systems/IoT.
• Hands-on testing IoT devices, gateways, and firmware; manual and automated testing.

About the role

This role involves developing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies for IoT devices, gateways, firmware, dashboard app and backend, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. You will collaborate with firmware engineers and development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve firmware issues, conduct field testing and compliance verification, and ensure usability, durability, and adherence to industry standards. The position includes testing vital signs data from medical bands through Android or iPhone mobile devices via Bluetooth or a Bluetooth gateway, and occasionally accompanying team members on visits to hospital clients to capture software and hardware requirements accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing for IoT devices, gateways, and firmware, app + backend
• Collaborate with firmware engineers and development teams to identify, analyze, and resolve firmware issues
• Conduct field testing and compliance verification to ensure usability, durability, and adherence to industry standards for IoT devices
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test reports, defect logs, and automation scripts
• Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts using Python to enhance testing efficiency, data validation, and coverage
• Test vital signs data from medical bands through Android or iPhone mobile devices via Bluetooth or a Bluetooth gateway
• Create and maintain comprehensive regression testing plans
• Demonstrate proficiency in testing RESTful APIs
• Utilize SQL and data analysis skills to validate, interpret, and troubleshoot test results

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 3+ years of experience in software testing (Web, Android, or iOS), including embedded systems and IoT devices
• Hands-on experience in testing IoT devices, gateways, and firmware
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Python, Robot Framework, or Selenium
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other connectivity protocols
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot firmware issues using tools like ADB, UART, and JTAG
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
