Job summary

Astoria Hotels and Resorts is seeking a cashier at its Manila outlets to handle guest transactions, answer queries, and support the floor team. The role requires fluency in English and Tagalog, familiarity with POS systems, and a focus on accurate cash handling and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will assist guests with menu details, upsell add-ons, and ensure smooth payment processing across multiple formats.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year cashiering experience in QSR, food court, retail or hospitality preferred.
• Proficiency with POS software, card terminals and digital payment devices.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately using the central POS system.
• Process payments by cash, cards, e-wallets, and QR payments.
• Issue call-out buzzers, receipts, or slips for kitchen pickup.
• Do daily cash float counts and reconcile end-of-day drawer.
• Track discounts (Senior Citizen, PWD, promos) as required by local rules.
• Assist guests with menu queries and dietary needs.
• Upsell drinks, sides, or stall combos to guests.
• Maintain cashier counter cleanliness and stock supplies.
