Job summary

Responsibilities include handling billing, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of dining areas and restrooms. The role supports the Head Waiter and requires attentiveness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist to table assigned
• Set up table setting including menu
• Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and drinks promptly to customers and check in periodically to ensure satisfaction
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
• Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials
• Check that customers are satisfied with their meal
• Prepare the bill for tables when requested
• Provide customers with the bill, process payments, and give back change or receipts
• Ensure that the correct amount has been paid
• Clear tables, remove used dishes, and reset them for the next guests
• Address guest feedback and ensure that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
• Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information
• Assist Head Waiter in making sure the dining area, function rooms, and rest rooms are ready before service (clean tables, chairs, etc.), and all electrical fixtures are turned off after service
• Prepare inventory of dining materials and equipment
• Clean as you go Policy.
