Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house counsel for a global technology company.
• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communications skills.
• Experience of working with international teams across multiple time zones.
• Team management experience, including leading, mentoring and training of junior team members.
• Desire to contribute to tech enablement of legal and exploring legal agents.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments on data usage and data products, including regulatory, industry, contractual, strategic and other considerations, and provide practical legal risk analyses, operational and contractual risk mitigation strategies.
• Work with Business teams and legal SMEs to evaluate data risks in assets, platforms and offerings / solutions.
• Support development and launch of products that make productive use of data.
• Develop clear communication messages, guidance, templates and trainings regarding data use rights, data products, and data related terms in inbound and outbound agreements.
• Lead and mentor junior Data Strategy legal team members in growing their skills, relationships and careers.
• Support data-led acquisitions, joint ventures, and other special projects as required by Data Strategy Legal Lead or Legal Leadership.
• Support design and implementation of GenAI/AI tools and processes to enhance daily work, request management, legal risk assessments and collaboration with business and other Legal colleagues.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), including CoPilot.
