East West Banking Corporation is seeking a Governance Officer in Taguig to promote strong governance across the People, Corporate Services and Sustainability Group. You will identify risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and strengthen governance frameworks to support sustainable growth.

The role involves partnering with Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and business teams to enhance controls, monitor issues, and provide insights for informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance related field.
• 3–5 years governance/compliance/operational risk experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote governance, compliance, and ethical business practices across the group.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate governance-related risks.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Enterprise Oversight, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes.
• Monitor and escalate governance issues with timely resolution and accountability.
• Support continuous improvement of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Provide insights to enable informed decision-making and strategic execution.
