Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Director of Global Supply Chain based in Mexico to shape sourcing strategy and lead global negotiations. You will oversee commodity management, supplier performance, and total-cost-of-ownership initiatives across a multi-location manufacturing network.

This senior role offers broad international exposure, cross‑functional collaboration with senior executives, and travel to business units and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of supply chain negotiation experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contract electronics manufacturing or a closely related manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of global strategic sourcing, commodity management, supplier negotiations, and total-cost-of-ownership principles.
• Strong experience with SAP and ERP systems, along with spend analysis, database management, and supply chain information systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business analytics tools, with the ability to translate complex spend and supplier data into actionable business decisions.
• Demonstrated experience developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and delivering measurable cost improvements.
• Proven leadership and team-development capabilities, with the ability to establish accountability, develop talent, and lead globally distributed supply chain resources.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically, up to approximately 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead global strategic sourcing, commodity management, and supplier negotiations to reduce costs and strengthen outcomes.
• Assess and improve global commodity quotation processes with clear guidance for packages and awards.
• Analyze global spend, pricing, supplier data, and active-part data to set TCO targets.
• Lead supplier negotiations and address supplier quality, service, cost, performance and escalation.
• Establish and maintain reporting for savings, variance, awards, and supplier performance.
• Develop supplier scorecards and escalation processes to strengthen accountability across the base.
• Monitor market shifts, technologies, trends, and risks; translate findings into actionable direction.
• Lead global spend analysis and maintain spend data infrastructure to support decisions.
• Develop supplier risk mitigation and continuity strategies across the global network.
• Lead initiatives for responsible and diversified sourcing, including minority/diverse supplier programs.
• Travel internationally and domestically to engage with units and suppliers.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic projects contributing to growth and margins.
