Job summary

EY’s GDS Tax division seeks a Payroll Implementation Manager to lead global payroll programs across multiple geographies. The role focuses on program governance, client engagement, and successful delivery of complex payroll transformations in a shared services setting.

You will oversee end-to-end payroll implementations, manage cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensure alignment with global standards and timelines. Strong PM and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong program and project management experience (PMP, Prince2, Agile preferred).
• Experience with AI-powered analytics, automation, or intelligent payroll operations.
• Graduate or Post Graduate in Accounting / Finance / Administrations/ Operations. MBA or Business Management skills preferred.
• 10–15 years total experience with at least 8 years in payroll implementations for large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale global payroll implementation programs across regions and countries.
• Apply best-practice methodologies to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Act as primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
• Oversee integration of payroll platforms with client systems and data flows.
• Manage cross-functional teams and vendors for delivery success.
• Oversee multiple country-level implementations aligned with global methodology.
• Manage end-to-end payroll implementation lifecycle from planning to stabilization.
• Manage client expectations, scope, and change control; report to executives.
• Develop client-facing materials to support implementation readiness.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Define KPIs to monitor client satisfaction and team performance.
• Review outcomes and implement corrective actions for future deliveries.
