Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a senior professional to drive strategic development of the Global Payroll Process within HR/Employee Services. You will own end-to-end transformations, designing advanced tools and data structures, and align senior stakeholders across regions to achieve standardized, efficient payroll operations.

The role requires strong project leadership, experience managing international teams, and fluency in English to communicate across a global organization.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of global payroll experience in a GBS or similar corporate setting.
• End-to-end project management experience leading large-scale initiatives.
• 5+ years of leading international, virtual teams with stakeholders across regions.
• Deep understanding of operational payroll delivery and day-to-day execution.
• Fully fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic process development across the Global Payroll Process (GPP) of HR/Employee Services.
• Lead initiatives to simplify harmonize and standardize payroll processes and measure performance.
• Own design development of tools, processes and data in the GPO Payroll domain.
• Bridge senior stakeholders, manage cross-functional dependencies and steer global payroll transformations.
