Job summary

Merck Group is seeking an Operations Manager - Global Payments to lead the global AP payment process end-to-end. You will manage a multi-currency, multi-geography payments operation, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, IT, and Finance.

You will oversee a global team, define KPIs, and implement automation to improve accuracy, cycle times, and compliance while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payments Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in managing global operations and implementing process improvements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end global AP payment process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of payments to vendors and employees.
• Manage multiple payment methods across various currencies and geographies.
• Monitor payment cycles to meet SLAs and optimize working capital.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payment processes with policies and objectives.
• Lead a global payments team, define roles and performance metrics, and coach staff.
• Identify and implement best practices to streamline workflows and deploy automation.
