Job summary

OneOcean, owned by Lloyd’s Register, seeks a Technical Services Engineer to manage software deployments, AIS installations, and 24x7 technical support for vessels worldwide in a hybrid role.

You will coordinate deployments, provide remote assistance, document activities, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure service levels, with a 36‑month fixed-term contract and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience working in a Vessel IT/Technical Support role, preferably in maritime environments.
• Experience supporting software applications and end users via remote channels (phone, email, ticketing systems).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge or experience with AIS solutions onboard vessels is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and system administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate software deployments, installations, upgrades, migrations, and service restoration.
• Install and configure AIS solutions onboard vessels and validate connectivity.
• Provide world‑class technical support via remote channels and document activities.
• Maintain deployment and configuration records and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet SLAs.
• Support continual service improvement and capture knowledge for knowledge articles.
