Job summary
Maritime Technology & Engineering Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Dynamic Positioning team. You will support the delivery, installation and commissioning of DP software systems for vessels worldwide, combining office engineering work with overseas vessel assignments.
The role requires international travel (~120 days/year) and collaboration with customers, project teams and specialists to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Diploma qualification considered with at least 5 years navy experience or 3 years shipbuilding/maritime experience.
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and commission Dynamic Positioning software systems onboard vessels.
- Support system installation, integration and commissioning activities including CAT.
- Conduct worldwide vessel commissioning projects with ~120 days international travel annually.
- Perform software engineering and project preparation activities from the office.
- Prepare and execute IAT, FAT and related verification activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs and commissioning reports.
- Collaborate with customers, project teams and specialists to ensure successful delivery.
- Serve as technical liaison between customers and headquarters throughout project execution and support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and drive innovation in marine automation and positioning technologies.
