Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor in Cebu City, Philippines. You will oversee daily ground and area operations, organize shifts, and ensure shipments are processed in line with DHL standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• Line Trainer Certification and First Aid Certification required.
• IATA Dangerous Goods Acceptance Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4–5 years of operations experience in logistics/transportation/aviation/supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily ground and area operations to ensure shipments enter and exit in compliance with DHL procedures and transit time standards.
• Organize shift schedules and staffing to meet operational requirements and service demands.
• Ensure incoming shipments are recovered, inspected, and processed efficiently.
• Manage receipt and dispatch of outbound shipments to ensure timely departure and uplift.
• Ensure accurate sorting, handling, and loading of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Handle special requests and support daily operational communication across the DHL network.
• Maintain effective relationships with customers and coordinate operational requirements promptly.
• Collaborate with the Service Centre Manager to achieve targets and improve performance.
• Coordinate with warehouse providers, airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling agents to ensure service quality and DHL standards.
• Ensure proper transfer of shipments and documentation between stakeholders.
• Work with local operations teams to review daily performance and address challenges.
• Ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment on all shifts.
• Support and participate in ISO compliance and quality assurance programs.
