Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Automation & Smart Manufacturing to lead the global deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies across multiple sites. The role drives automation, robotics, machine vision, Industry 4.0, and smart factory initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, and external partners, this position develops scalable automation solutions, supports factory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Industrial Engineering.
• PM certification (PMP) or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 12+ years in manufacturing engineering and automation in electronics/ semiconductor/ high-mix environments.
• Minimum 5+ years leading automation or manufacturing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global AME automation roadmap aligned with manufacturing and business objectives.
• Lead automation feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and CAPEX justification to improve productivity and quality.
• Establish global standards for automation equipment, smart workstations, and processes across sites.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution and factory readiness.
• Lead AI, machine vision, AOI/AVI, IIoT, and real-time monitoring initiatives to drive defect reduction and OEE.
• Develop digital manufacturing solutions, dashboards, and analytics for FPY, uptime, and productivity.
