Job summary

Avaloq Group in Makati City, Philippines is seeking a detail‑oriented L2 Application Support Engineer to provide second‑level support for wealth management and digital platforms. You will diagnose complex issues, run SQL queries, and ensure platform performance for clients’ financial operations.

You will work with L1 teams on escalations, monitor batch jobs, and collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement permanent fixes. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years in L2 application/technical support in production environments
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux commands, Java‑based apps
• Experience with batch job monitoring (Control‑M, Autosys, Cron) and incident management

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for wealth management and digital platforms, handling escalated tickets from L1
• Write and debug Oracle SQL queries for data issues and validation
• Perform Unix command‑line operations for log analysis, monitoring, and job execution
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues using systematic problem‑solving and diagnostic tools
• Support and monitor batches, scheduled jobs, and file workflows using Control‑M, Autosys or equivalents
• Document incidents, resolutions, and workarounds in ticketing system; maintain knowledge base
• Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes
• Provide guidance to end‑users and L1 staff, explaining technical concepts clearly
• Maintain knowledge of app architecture, workflows, and integrations across platforms
• Participate in on‑call rotation and perform RCA reports for critical incidents
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors to resolve platform issues and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain runbooks and ensure adherence to SLAs and ITIL processes
